Poor parking

We were not told beforehand that we would need to purchase a $35 parking pass for the GEODIS stadium, I discovered this by accident the day before while I searched the website for the stadium bag policy. However, despite purchasing a parking pass for lot 8, access to the stadium was completely slow-going and no one at any turn or intersection provided guidance on where any of the parking lots were located. We arrived an hour early, excited to watch the team warm up, etc. Instead, we were still crawling in traffic on the road outside as we heard the national anthems sung. After making 2 wrong turns into other parking lots, we were finally guided into a grass lot (lot 8 was described as paved - the amount of grass in my car on the way home later was ridiculous). Beware that the walk to the stadium from there included MANY steps. And when we finally reached our seats, it was 10 minutes into the game, and there were people in our seats (who eventually moved so our party of 6 could sit). It was a very disappointing start to what was supposed to be a fun day. Nothing like paying all that money for tickets and arriving an hour early and then missing part of the event. An article posted after the event said that while the stadium can hold 30,000, they have parking for 5000. The game SHOULDN'T have been hosted at this stadium.
